Our story
Chimney Sweep Master began as a single crew working the Chicago winter, and grew into one of the busiest sweep and repair services in the Midwest. Today we are a division of Aumillers Inc., still cleaning, inspecting and repairing the same kind of chimneys we always have — carefully, and without leaving dust behind.
What has not changed is how we work. We show up when we say we will, we explain what the flue actually needs, and we put the number in front of you before a single tool comes out. That is why our mission is written the way it is:

We guarantee a dust-free chimney cleaning and inspection, performed by a licensed and experienced chimney sweep — never a trainee left to figure it out. We service gas fireplaces, wood-burning fireplaces and wood stoves.

If a repair is needed, or a deficiency shows up during a routine sweep and inspection, we quote it honestly and do the work ourselves. We take pride in creating honest quotes for our customers.

One of the biggest selections of gas logs, gas balls, replacements, gas inserts and gas fireplace conversion options in Chicago and the surrounding areas. Our technician walks you through the selection and helps you find the most realistic-looking setup for your home.
Built to code
Every fireplace and chimney repair we do is brought back to the published standards — IRC Chapter 10 and NFPA 211 — including smoke chamber parging, throat and damper geometry, liner sizing and clearance to combustibles. If something cannot be made compliant, we tell you that before we start.

Chimney Sweep Master holds Illinois Professional Standard recognition for chimney and fireplace work, issued to our Cary shop at 426 Lloyd St., Cary, IL 60013. Chris Aumiller is the licensed technician on record (ID CSM-2026-1187), and carries that credential on every call.

“I had a huge problem, Chris and his son fixed everything quickly, they were respectfully of the home and left everything clean. I got quotes from other companies for up to 8k and 16k (one guy said he thought some one had used a grenade). Chris laughed when I told him that. He said he could do the work for around 2k.
